Hi everyone! Today we'll learn about the very important German preposition zu. We use this word mainly to indicate movement "to," "towards," or "at" a place, building, or someone's location. Zu shows direction of movement. For example, "Ich gehe zum Arzt" (I am going to the doctor) uses zum (which is zu dem). "Wir fahren zur Schule" (We are going to school) uses zur (zu der). And for people, you say "Komm zu mir!" (Come to me!). Remember that zu always takes the Dative case. You can easily use it by thinking about where or to whom you are going. Practice makes it clearer!
