Adverbs of Frequency – “oft”, “manchmal”, “selten”, “nie”

Hello everyone! Today we'll look at important words in German that show how often we do an action – these are called Adverbs of Frequency. They make our sentences more precise and interesting. Let's learn four main adverbs. Oft means "often". For example, "Ich gehe oft in den Park." (I often go to the park). If we do something sometimes, we say manchmal (sometimes): "Sie liest manchmal Bücher." (She sometimes reads books). For actions we do less frequently, we use selten (rarely): "Wir sehen uns selten." (We rarely see each other). And finally, for things we never do, we say nie (never): "Er isst nie Fisch." (He never eats fish). These adverbs usually stand next to the verb. You'll learn everything with practice, don't worry!
